To keep More To Learn Academy running smoothly, please agree to all of these policies:

I understand that after signing up, I will receive an email with access to the member's area, and I will find resources there. I understand that after I register and sign up for tutoring, it may take More To Learn Tutoring up to 48 hours to send instructions on how to access the tutoring classes. I understand access to the member's area is based upon the tutoring package I have chosen for my child. I understand not all tutoring packages include access to the members area.

I understand that I am signing up for a monthly subscription of tutoring services, and that my card will be charged for the monthly tutoring tuition. I understand that all fees paid aren't refundable, and I can cancel anytime. I understand that cancelation, and missed sessions by either party will not result in a refund.

Online: I understand that I will need to log my child into the Zoom classroom, but I do not need to stay during class time. However, I understand that More To Learn Tutoring is not a babysitter, and that if my child is misbehaving/distracted during tutoring, the teacher will talk to me about finding a solution to help my child.

I give permission for my child’s photograph(s) and/or videotaping(s) to be used for marketing materials offline and online, newsletters, and art projects.

I agree to abide by the Policies & Procedures Handbook.

Hi! I'm Miss Phylicia, and I've always wanted to be a teacher!

I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Fayetteville State University, an advanced master's degree in reading education from UNC-Charlotte, and am certified as a reading specialist! I have been teaching for over a decade and was awarded Teacher of the Year while teaching in Durham Public Schools. I love educating children!

More To Learn Academy began in 2012 when I was a classroom teacher and noticed children were reading significantly below grade level and needed additional support outside of the classroom. I started offering reading tutoring after school to provide reading intervention to support these students.

After receiving an advanced Master’s Degree in 2018, in Reading Education and becoming certified as a Reading Specialist, my after-school tutoring officially became More To Learn Tutoring LLC.

Our online preschool was added in 2020 to ensure families have access to a preschool program where their preschoolers receive a strong foundation in literacy before entering kindergarten.

The combination of our online private reading tutoring and online preschool is More To Learn Academy.

At More To Learn Academy we serve children ages 3 - 5 years through our online preschool program and provide private 1-1 reading tutoring to students in grades K - 12 through our online private tutoring program.

I thank God for gracing me with the gift of teaching children how to read. It is my absolute pleasure to serve in this way.
